I need to replace the heat shield on the aluminium square box that protects the drive shaft in the transmission tunnel.

But I’m not sure what to use.

Has anyone done this?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Best wishes

Thanks Peter, that's perfect.
My heat shield was fine but I removed the exhaust first and then started the car to back it into the centre of my garage and the foil blew off!

Doh!
I wanted to order some shielding today but walked straight out the door on autopilot and forgot measure the length of the aluminium plate.

Does anyone know it's length or has theirs to hand and could measure it?

Much appreciated!

I used this in the end.
It's made in the uk and was recommended by an indie.
It's visually the same as the original.
Only time will tell I guess smile

I just ran around the edges with alu tape with bit of spray on adhesive to hold it in place while I riveted it in place.

I'd say the aluminium tape and rivets would be enough though.
I'll post again in a few months to let you know if it's any good smile
