Out this morning and came back to the car park to find this:

The guy that did it waited around for me and we exchanged insurance details.

My old Cerb is rare, it's a factory red rose and the only one ever made in Jamaica Blue.

Would Repainting it, for whatever reason, devalue it?

And if so, is it beyond reason to argue this point with his insurance company?

Best wishes

Kind words and sound advice, thanks everyone.

The guy had just joined our gun club and it was his first day so I guess it was a bit of a bad day out for him too. A nice guy and fair play for owning up, we sat down and had a cup of tea, he said he didn't know any other members so I said he could join us one Saturday as we meet once a month.

A front end respray, not sure about blending the lights though scratchchin

Adrian at Central TVR has been working on my little blue car, he's such a nice man, and it's nearly finished smile
In the meantime they gave me a boring little red car....

A S6 is such a different experience!

Hey Darren

Bodywork is all done and got a few bits tidied up as well.

I got a few snaps of the work so far and I'm really hoping to get it back for TiTT12...

The red Cerb.. Adrian mentioned that it was at Le Mans, it has new engine from Power and it's smooth! The throttle response is instant. I'm glad I had a chance to properly try out a S6, its a beautiful engine I can't believe how freely it revs! I'd love a Tcar smile

And an S bar brompton - my daily steed :-)
smile I have so much respect for a Brompton, having done a few long rides in the past, I have to say it's a great little piece of engineering.

You did 100 hour ride on a brompton - that's mad!
Heh, god no, I've done a few big rides on various good bikes in the past and a brompoton is a great little 5k sprinter. Love ringing the bell behind lycracommuters half way up Penton Rise on my way home from worksmile

I do not cycle (I do however walk out in front of you guys with my headphones on when not concentrating - sorry!) but I do work in London and there are lots of places to drink beer in London!

If anyone is up for an Xmas beers ...... only 34 days to go!
The traditional TVR drinking hole was Dirty Dicks near Liverpool St station (well it was back in the late 90's / early 00's).
I could do a beer or two one evening in December?
Dirty Dicks sounds good to me smile

Would have preferred if it was untouched.

However, blended lights on a late car that left the factory with Tuscan pods, colour coded a-pilars, Tuscan seats, Spiders and an angled rear number plate is acceptable.

Even more so if the motivation is solely down to a bit of well documented fibreglass damage as opposed to a purely cosmetic one?
