LHD headlights!

I finally have the papers i need to het her homologated.
But i need to switch the headlights to LHD.
Someone told me that the Mk2 lights have to be adjusted, not replaced.
But I really really really don't see how.
Anybody on the continent who has done this before?

So i can finally get my plates (if i pass emissions test )

That's right, but i think I'd like to think I've got a very rare 'easy' car
I could even pull out my exhaust manifolds without touching the engine
