Not sure why it is odd. Stopped at lights, cerb was popping alot, put phone in sleeve and drove half a mile home. Not about to set my camera mount up at lights, it wasn't dangerous I had my child with me.

I do have some a and b Road vids which would probably give you a heart attack though ;-)

They all do that sir, it's the significant other in the passenger seathehe
In stitches at that. I am getting divorced so I don't have to put up with it anymore. Lol. So close to the bone.

Did I notice the oil pressure dropping under load? Could just be a faulty gauge but it would be nice to know. Also, mine doesn't whine anything like yours does - what's all that about?
The gauge reads 40 at 1000rpm at idle. Then 60 above 2000 if coldish dropping to 50 when warm.

Yes it whines like a bike. Lol. I assume they don't all do that then.

I do have a serious oil problem. Spent half hour with my brother with a USB inspection camera today not on ramps trying to work out where it's coming out.

Stationary with a blip to 5k there is a plume of smoke from rear of engine. Like someone is letting off a smoke gun. Going to get it on a ramp this week but it's a ridiculous amount of oil going somewhere. All around gearbox.

Can anybody confirm if it was crank seal it would do this?

Looks like I'll be bringing my engine rebuild / modification a little forward of where I wanted. By the time I'm through with this car there will be nothing left original on the poor girl!

Have any of you speed freaks thought of doing a track day to really test your car's limits?
There are so far 8 of us Chimaera/Griff owners signed up for a track day at Bedford Autodrome on Monday 15th June.
Still spaces left and it's a good track, 4.2 miles of interesting bends and not a lot to hit.

I realise it clashes with Le Mans, which is a good excuse for not coming if you are going to watch the big boys toys and get pissed.
But the BHP of our cars ranges from 220 to 390, so i can quite understand if you don't fancy the embarrassment of a thrashing by a mere ragtop..... whistle
We are fairly experienced track-dayers, so joking apart, we will be around to help and guide you if it is your first track day.

Here's the link to the thread on PH:

And here's the link to the booking section on Javelin's website:

Would love to and will soon. I wouldn't pass the noise limit for sure at the moment though.
