So I bought my first Cerbera, the original colour is yellow but the interior is green and cream. I'm guessing that the original owner is either colour blind, or just had exceptionally bad taste!

So my original thought was to change the body colour to a very dark metallic green and keep the green and cream interior (it's in very good nick), but now I'm not so sure. The discussions about valuations has got me re-thinking my entire approach. Granted that there are very few totally original Cerberas out there (if any), but would it be better to keep it yellow and go with a predominantly black interior?

I bought the car as I've wanted one since they first appeared, not as an investment, but I don't want to turn it into a lemon (pardon the pun).

Any thoughts please?

I'd be of the opinion that so long as you got the inside to compliment the outside you're making a good investment of funds. If it were me I'd bumble bee the interior as green, whilst typically British, doesn't feel very Cerbera to me.
I was thinking black leather with yellow stitching maybe?

Again, my opinion, but there are plenty of leather surfaces in a Cerb that would allow you to tastefully add some yellow to take the edge off the black whilst sticking to some kind of theme if you so desired. Underside of dash, headlining, door card centres etc. Can you tell I've wanted a yellow one?

My plan personal is to do the opposite and paint the exterior blue to match my blue and cream interior.
I was originally influenced by an article I read which said that only 1 in 10 would go for a yellow car colour, but with more thought I don't think you can apply those type of stats to a Cerbera?

There's no denying that the purple looks good, although I'm not sure I am that brave!

Mine's Halcyon Midas with black full hide, yellow stitching and black carpets. I find the outlandish shape of the dash is lost with black carpets as well as black leather, so I'm taking a gamble and having my carpets finished in pale yellow (the same colour as my door cards which are visible in the photos below, and the headlining).

The paler yellow interior highlights appeal to me over the brighter yellows that you often see. I agree with your comments regarding the dash, maybe some yellow could find its way in there? I'm meeting the trimmer on Monday, so I'll be scouring the web over the weekend for inspiration!
