Had to post this on the Cerbera Forum as I've never wanted another car since sorting my dads then getting my own.

However I have driven a GTR and its specs alone show what a razor sharp car it is even though the special feeling it gives is no match for my cerbera. With that said I'm thinking of getting one as it ticks my sports car needs of big boot, 2+2, utterly useable, easily customised and very fast. Due to its computers accessing its power and exploiting performance would be much easier than in the cerbera and it would be far more of an everyday due to the fact that fluid checks are less regular and wouldn't live on a C-TEK trickle so getting out of the garage would be less of a performance.

I can see myself regretting if I sold the Cerb but having both would put be good as I have the evoque and wife has an A class.

Thoughts and opinions welcome. Cheers

Only took 2 comments for me to fall in love with the Cerb again but in saying that I'd feel less inclined to track a GTR purely because as you say it's the computers and I could get the sensation on my PS4 rather than the buzz of mastering the Cerb round a given track. But I'm just thinking do I want a slightly easier life.

Fingers could point at an R8, SL55 or Jag XKR but they don't all tick boxes exactly and even then if you go that way the GTR eats them. I'm just a confused lad. Thanks for thoughts expressed keep em coming.

Thanks again all great thoughts expressed. I've been you tubing galore and everytime I see a GTR in sports/super car company it just looks so out of place. (No sophistication or subtlety). Go to the garage and fall in love again however when looking at videos another modern car has caught my eye for ultimate thrills. MP4-12C is a beautiful thing.

Can stomach the purchase (while crying my eyes out) but the upkeep needs its own mortgage or an arm and a leg!

So... Dom just wants to hurry up and release his 4.7ss because I think the cerbera is staying!

You lot are playing mental ping pong with me! Every time I think oh just the Cerb and all that, a great comment on the GTR is posted lol.

Now Im back to thinking... hmmmmm the fact now is that I wouldn't change my Cerb for anything this side of a Koenigsegg, Huayra or a P1... unless it was a MP4-12C Or MUCH MORE POSSIBLY........................ a GTR

Then when you are bored of the jap crap, think of the hassle ,time and money you will have to invest in finding, buying and sorting another cerbera. Save yourself the headache and keep the tvr
Sounds about right. The money I save should go towards a Powers 4.7!

Matti: Yeah a couple of years back I used one for a couple of days. Didn't get familiar with the tech. Not overly impressed by the drive but I was if anything nursing but speed didn't feel like accelerating quickly even though I was. Had a lovely raspy sound in the exhaust, great feel in an everyday way but wouldn't give me butterflies the day before like I get knowing I'll be soending the day in the Cerb. Also got to rag an SLS mad power but the weight made it feel more sluggish and not confident in speeds.

Keeping the Cerbera!..

Funny you should say that Daz, I'm not not thinking about how much I'd love the GTR but more how much I'd miss my Cerb. Hmmm if there comes a time and I don't need the home gym then I can get its side of the garage back and give "Argento" a buddy.

Glad your loving the R8... Needs a gold chrome wrap and black wheels though ;P

Thanks for a all thoughts expressed as it's helped me but posed a slightly different problem, here goes..,. Rather than spend £40k on a GTR I could keep the Cerbera and put £15k into the 4.7ss (and other assoc. bits) upgrade. Then £25k could go into a not too shabby SL55 AMG (I know a good tuner) and I get top down motoring but ultimately have my Cerb for fun.

All I've done while currently in Ibiza is miss my Cerb frown

Checking in on my phone. Jamie has hit the nail cleanest on the head. I'm not wanting to feel dull.

I'll be going the route of an engine upgrade (power 4.7 and knock MBE etc) clearing one garage of a gym to make way for prob an SL55 AMG

No more wanting a GTR.

Thanks all
