Wiper park switch?

My wipers have taken on a will of their own. If I press the washer button briefly I should just get one sweep, but the wipers keep going for 5 or more sweeps - it's not consistent either, sometimes one sweep, sometimes twenty.On the intermittent setting they just sweep continuously but do speed up if you press the switch through the first speed to the faster setting - trouble is getting them to stop! When they do stop, they do park correctly though.

Initially I thought ribbon cable to steering wheel switches, but everything else is behaving itself, and the wipers always switch on.

Update.

Was at Dulford Automotive this morning and it's the control box. Swapped boxes with another Cerb out there (thanks Rxxxxxx, navy blue Cerb!) and the box needs a rebuild.
