How's it coming on? Do you have any pictures of the re-build you'll be able to share when its back? Apologies if you've already discussed this, but what are you having done - a full re-build?
Since you asked, I guess we should really start a new thread.Car has been taken back to bare tub. All parts have been tested and either replaced or rebuilt. Tub has been relaquered and paintwork done. Going back together now.

Sorry no more pics at moment, will update when get some.
Hurstg01 will answer any questions in the meantime!!!
Rebuild is 8mths+. A lot of parts are sent away to be treated etc. l am also very lucky to have a massive spares package with the car so a lot of items are from personal stock.

Bit of a late comer here but car looks amazing Andy. When you buy a car second hand as you did and weren't able to visit the factory whilst it was still in production (I have assumed this, I may be wrong), it's great to be able to see it in this state and have it re-built. I guess it feels very personal and really underlines 'it's yours'. Hope the bill isn't too eye watering!
Completely right although the f1 is being done to as new and period. The zonda was exciting as I got to personalise the car to what wanted.Bill is fine when you look at what car is worth.

That exact car didn't win LM? Thought it was champ winner in Jap GT's? Could be wrong.
As for FoS and people touching the cars, that is the nice thing about Goodwood. You can get up close and personal. It should stay that way. You do need to relax. At the end of the day it's a race car and people won't damage it by getting close and touching it. It's used to doing over 200mph for crying out loud.
Andy, cracking job mate. It looks absolutely superb. That livery just gets better and better...
I wish it was the one that won LM! My one was part of the team that won the Japanese Championship in 1996.As for FoS and people touching the cars, that is the nice thing about Goodwood. Lanzante have down a stunning job of the rebuild, car is absolutely perfect.
Its slightly concerning seeing so many people around the car but I agree thats what Goodwood about and it should stay that way.

Present day I'd live without them - they were just there to allow the team to easily determine which of the two cars was which on track since their liveries were identical. He's not trying to win a 100-point concours award with the car afterall.

They are going on aswell! Plan is to get back to how it looked when it was raced. You see the back of the car yet? We put all the original bumpers and grills on.>8^)
