Ferrari 599, another horse in the stable!
Discussion
Well I took delivery of my new toy a couple weeks ago but have been mega busy, hence why it’s taken me this long post on here. I’m really chuffed with it. Bloody brilliant actually!
I had a 430 spider before and this feels miles ahead of it, a real step forward. The car does feel big, but it’s very easy to drive and not as “squirmy” as I thought it might be. I thought about one a few months back when I bought my Superleggera, but one of the things that put me off was I thought it might be too twitchy when you were really pushing on, however it doesn’t seem to be.
Seriously quick and for such a big car it’s just amazing, it really likes a drink though!!!!! Other than that though, it’s perfect!
These are the only pictures I have, please excuse the camera phone quality, I will try and post some decent pictures ASAP. Thanks to everyone who helped answer all my questions of them!

Nice colour change, Is the drivers door open? Looks to be a big gap there unless it is a reflection.

I think the door is open because you can see a little gap at the top of the window which happens when the door is open.
Looks very good with those wheels.
Well spotted, yes the door is slightly open, I literally just jumped out the car to grab a couple pictures as I didn't have any. Ferrari panel gaps can be bad but luckily not quite that bad Looks very good with those wheels.

Nice new toy!
All you need is a nice QV to complete your collection!
Been busy this end too, but will try to come up very soon with the old girl and will let you have a wee drive. Not offering to sell her and don't want Diablo Pete taking out contracts on me!
You are putting a nice wee collection together
Paul

Cheers Paul. Yes I agree, love the QV, it's on the "fantasy list" just need to find some more space, ran out of room a long time ago! I'm thinking about knocking down the house and just building a garageNice new toy!

To the OP.......Just out of interest why are you trying to sell your 599 after only 1 months ownership
There was another car that had caught my eye (something a little bit different) and I quite fancied it. That was the only reason I was thinking of getting rid of it as i simply didnt have any more room. But I've now decided to keep the 599. It's fantastic! GRBF430F1 said:
Would love to add a late 599 with HGTE Kit to the F355 and F430 spider but the above really worries me.
With fuel prices only ever going one way to have a 599 as my daily drive ( which is what I had in mind )and having a heavy right foot is just not practical.
Also because of the running costs inc fuel they are going to continue to depreciate at a rate of knots.
Think they are fantastic cars at fantastic value for money currently but see them becoming the bargain of the century in the future
People get really freaked out about fuel prices but to be honest ian although it's an annoyance, I don't think it should be the main factor in deciding for or against a car. Say it will cost you £100 a week on fuel for the 599, that's £5,200 a year on fuel. That is horrific I know. BUT a 430 will probably cost you 70-80% of what a 599 will use in fuel so therefore £3,640 - £4,160. So if you look at it like that then its not really that much more expensive... Thats my strange way of justifying it anyway With fuel prices only ever going one way to have a 599 as my daily drive ( which is what I had in mind )and having a heavy right foot is just not practical.
