So you managed to buy it pay for it insure it and get it home in a few hours : fast mover !
Yes!

Paying for it was a bit of a faff, bank security phoned my home number for verification and wife answered, she knew nothing about it at that stage!

Mate who was with me has a traders policy so was insured to drive it back for me. I drove his car on my insurance policy.

Now locked up in my garage pending call to broker in the morning (hope they're open) so still yet to drive it on the road.

What happened to the F40? outbid or withdrawn?
Can't find it anywhere.
Auctioneer took bidding up to £320k, next bid would have been £330k which with commission would have been just shy of £380k. It wasn't a £380k example.

Well done, congratulations.
Saw your Mosler go through, someone got a lot of car for the money.

I feel for you, the amount you'll be getting after Bonhams fees will [i'm guessing] be only a fraction of what you bought the car for.

Lovely car, well done on your purchase smile

I see you are in West Sussex, anytime you are out and about in the Horsham area I'd love to see it close up biggrin
I live just outside Horsham so you'll probably see [or hear] the beastie about.

If there are any Horsham meet-ups i'd be happy to bring it along.

Ian, my next meet slightly further north will be announced shortly. We regularly have a Diablo from Kent pop along too, would make a fantastic pair sitting together yes
Let me know when & where and i'd love to come along, comittments permitting!

Must be very close to me then. Some good roads round that way for early morning drives.
A particularly good early morning cross country run is Horsham to Newbury which i do from time-to-time.

If you wouldn't mind i'd quite like to pick your brain in respect of F40 buying. The F40 was the reason for being at the Bonhams auction when i bought the Diablo.

Please feel free to pm me.
