would you swap your 430 for a bmw i8?
Discussion
sounds like a daft question. one is supercar purity, the other is new fangled, highly stylised electric motoring sans the v8 wail of a 430. however, the more i see of the i8 and the more i read about it and the more i see of those scissor doors, the more tempted i am to place an order. i'm guessing that depreciation will be minimal as i'm guessing it's going to be popular.

Certainly looks like interest is rising now that the BMW marketing machine is revving up - damn - should've got the order in last month as probably would've been able to flip it after a few months with no loss/perhaps a little gain.
I've never done this, do you just sell it in the usual way or would you depend on dealerships having customers lined up to buy one quickly?Btw. This morning I was quoted delivery around March with some customers taking delivery in December (those that added the 12k lifestyle thingy option).

You must have a very generous employer for BIK to be relevant on an i8 !
Or own the business. I could get one through my company. However the more I think about this, and I remain sorely tempted, I think I would regret coming out of a ferrari to buy one. Especially as after the initial excitement settles, you're left looking at a BMW logo on your steering wheel. I think I'll wait for vanquishes to come down to somewhere closer to 100k instead. They do look bloody good though!!Gassing Station | Supercar General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
