Do you use your cars in the wet?
Discussion
I have an old modified '71 Mustang and I hate to use it in the wet a) because it's difficult to handle with big torque and semi-slick drag rear radials and b) because I can be OCD with keeping it clean and dry! I suppose in the grand scheme of things, it's nothing really special, but I always wonder that if I did have my dream car (Zonda) would I be scared to use it in the wet?
There's a car meet this Sunday at Beaulieu National Motor Museum and I'm wondering what cars will show up if the weather is bad. There is a nice list of cars signed up, but which ones will show up...?
I'm gonna brave it my 'Stang!!
I think I'd literally wet myself if I did see a Zonda sat there!?
Is anybody else coming to this?

Wonderful. Turned up once with my Diablo at Lamborghini in Reading (AFN) when Del Hopkins was there and he said "blimey, what have you been doing! Rallying?!"
I don't understand the people who trailer their cars around.........
Well, Beaulieu was a total washout, but I took the Mustang along and I raised £300 for the Air Ambulance Charity, which was amazing considering the conditions.
I was heartbroken when this happened though...
My OCD is in overdrive knowing it's sat at the garage soaking wet and dirty!

I went to Travis Perkins on sat and he asked "where's the Maser".
I replied "The seats don't fold down so I have to collect timber in this one".
I reckon a few bags of cement just means the traction light comes on less often
So not only do you use it in the wet, you'd happily use it as a pickup too!? HahaI replied "The seats don't fold down so I have to collect timber in this one".

I know a guy who knows a guy with a Zonda and they drove it in the wet.
He said that he could not get it going in a straight line!
Yeah, there was one at Goodwood recently who turned up in the rain. Not sure if it's the same chap or not, but I think it's great when you see cars like this turn up at meets with a bit of muck on them! BIG RESPECT to them for braving it...He said that he could not get it going in a straight line!
This is the one that was at the last Goodwood meet. My mates took the day off from work to go and left me stuck holding the fort, so they sent me a vid of my favourite car... In the rain!!!
The running joke is, that if you find yourself making the engine noise (like a kid) of the car you want, you'll never actually buy it!? I think this is a safe bet with this one...
