There's plenty of home made cheap tat quicker than Ferrari's on track, especially when the F is on road tyres, my own track car for one, OP, unclear what point you're trying to make? was that the first time you've come across an Ferrari on a track day, as I'm sure you understand there's so many unknown variables when trying to compare relative performance of cars on a TD, apparently the driver in front is a complete novice...
My point I was trying to make is a 40 year old car can match a modern Ferrari on track and yes the MGB was using road tyres....

To be fair all the footage shows is you and your car (I'm assuming you're reasonably experienced on track) slowly catching a Ferrari that's being driven cautiously by a lady driver on her first Track Day...;)
The event was for charity giving passenger rides out for people who wanted the experience, all drivers had to be experience for safety of passengers, but hey don't worry the Ferrari drivers didn't want to give the passengers any thrills, just wanted to spit and polish there cars....

Perhaps they don't like gloating. My old chipped '86 944 turbo would eat any Ferrari up to the 355 for breakfast but I didn't bang on about it. I would've swapped that 944 for any Ferrari in an instant.

The only people gloating were my passengers I took around for the experience, they were buzzing and were thrilled to pieces and couldn't thank me enough, it was them who were shocked at how slow Ferrari's were on the day...

The Ferrari drivers were probably embarrassed. That MGB V8 looks awesome and I bet you have way more fun in that.
respect to the MGB
They were wearing full race suits, I felt a little ashamed turning up in jeans..

You are a legend aren't you? You'd beat all the cars in a transit and would easily spin around the 'ring in substantially less than 10 minutes. Can I have your autograph please?
Funny you mentioned that, a mgb is being designed and prepared to take the challenge of driving the fastest lap around the Nurburgring in a road legal car! its being called MGB GT3.....
