So having watched the Chris Harris video I found myself loving all of the cars in equal measure. I used to be a die-hard Porsche fanboy and in the past would not allow myself to appreciate other marques to the same degree. Luckily I am all growed-up now and while I still love Porsches, I totally get other marques and their qualities.

So much so, that I was fortunate enough to purchase an F430 Scuderia a year ago while actually looking for a 997 GT3. I also am super fortunate enough to have a GT3 RS coming in April. To cap it all, I saw a McLaren 570S in person 2 weeks back and I really, really like it. So within the realms of what is affordable for me, my "Junior Holy Trinity" is:

F430 Scud
991 GT3RS
McLaren 570S

Hopefully by April 2016 I will be 2/3 of the way there and while not hyper cars they will do me just fine.

Just for fun, and without wishing to upset anyone, what would yours be????????

Wonderful Choice. Love the early cars with the tiny bumpers.

Totally agree, had a Corgi model as a kid and loved it. I think they also made it in some nice lairy colours.

If you are used to 430scud and 991RS prices I'd have thought a McLaren 675LT or at least a used 650S as they are the same money as a new 570S and IME a lot better!
LT not available where I live, all sold and I have only seen one for sale at a pretty high price. Plenty of 650s but I don't really like the front, to my eyes the 570 is nicer.

Why not just buy one 'senior' car rather than 3 'junior' cars?
Excellent point, once I have run the Scud and RS for a while, instead of adding to these I could see what selling both would realise and what I could buy instead by adding some more to the pot. If I am anywhere near a Carrera GT or a Singer, I can see this happening. So many cars, so little time..

Not playing, can't play. What a term, where did it come from? Puts me off top end sports cars!
Fair enough, you're not the first to make such a statement on this thread. Not sure where the term came from, I have heard it several times and I didn't think before using it. The "Junior" part I believe I heard on a Shmee video but I could be wrong.

The point behind my post was that there will always be halo cars which not many can afford. Rather than be on a downer about this, why not look at your own budget and see what you can get which will give you a great level of enjoyment? It has been interesting for me to see what people have written as their choices. Mine would change depending on my budget at any particular time. I listed what I believe I can afford now and I love driving the Scud, can't wait to get my RS and maybe in the future a 570...or a used 650.

My comment on budget wasn't directed at Woppum by the way, it was a general comment.

In any case, Woppum you have seem to have a formidable garage, not sure where you would go from there smile
