Selling at auction ( high end) any experience ?

Having bought a number of cars at high end auctions I wondered if anyone has sold anything via the auction recently and what the experience was like ?

I have seen many a poor quality, low spec no service history / little service history sold through auction but I have a full service history late (December 2000) 550 LHD, full spec ( leather headlining / quilted parcel shelf 225,000 euros when new !!) that I am planning to sell.

Nothing wrong with car, it just doesn't really get used as its in the UK and I have been traveling so much.

Any experiences would be gratefully received and if the returns were goodish !!

Thanks for the advice guys, having spoken to a few people and dealers I think SOR is the best way forwards.

I am looking to do something in a month of so and pretty much have my dealer in mind and the figures agreed so fingers crossed.
