Hello All

Currently have a 2014 V8 Vantage SSII (paddle shift with hydraulically actuated manual) which I love, but lust after a Lamborghini too.

For the same money, would you :-

1. Sell the V8 Vantage and get a Huracan and have the one car
2. Keep the V8 Vantage and get a 2010 on Gallardo LP (I am drawn towards an LP550-2 E Gear) and run two cars

I am familiar with the twin clutch vs E gear as well and don't mind e gear at all.

I already have a daily which needs to be cheap and cheerful as it gets smashed with tree sap/sun etc everyday and parked on the street, so the above cars would be purely fun cars.

So I guess I am asking from those in the know (that although we know the Huracan is said to be better than a Gallardo) is it actually THAT much better ?

Thanks in advance

Jkay

Thanks for the replies so far. Keen to hear more hopefully.

Sardis cheers PM on its way thank you! So the difference is actually THAT big between the Gallardo and the Huracan, and thats coming from a 570-4 owner. Precisely what I was wondering.

RamboLambo interesting coming from one who owns 4 cars smile.

I guess at the end of the day I don't want to pull up next to a Huracan in a Gallardo, and wish I "had instead".

Thank you.

Unfortunately here in Aus the Aventador and F12 are in a totally different price bracket by a lot, around $600k for an F12 , and even more for an Aventador

I guess it's true the Gallardo and V8 Vantage aren't different enough to warrant running both, and it's better to either run the one single great car, or two very different cars.

Although I'll really miss he Aston if it goes, looks like it may have to be the one car, unless I can think of two cars different enough to warrant running both

My commiserations on living in Aus with its heinous import duties. Hopefully the local car industry will die soon and your government can abolish them. Failing that emigrate to NZ - there's an F12 there for sale at the moment for NZD 475k!
I don't know, there are an awful lot of sheep in NZ....although for an Aventador it could be worth it!
Old astons are silly money here too!

I Love V12 Vantages but if I'm going to change I'd rather have something completely
Different to what I currently have smile

Just got to keep my eyes on the classifieds to see what pops up!

Update to the original thread

Currently working on a possible deal so nothings confirmed yet, but if all goes well I have chosen neither of the above and went for something totally different

599GTB with that glorious V12, but as mentioned the deal hasn't been sealed yet
