Sorry guys, but these clips run against the very ethos of The Scuderia.

I showed my girlfriend the clips, and her first reaction was "what a bunch of sad gits!"

The only difference between you guys and a bunch of boys doing the exact same thing in their max'd corsas is that your toys are significantly more expensive and exclusive.

Why not do the same run out in the country, on flowing roads? I'll tell you why not - because the cows & sheep won't go "ooh ahh" and massage your egos.

What exactly is the Scuderia ethos?

Not what is depicted in those clips anyway!

Well then, please tell me as I'm not quite sure what it is.

And FYI, we do go for runs in the countryside. I've done two in the last 3 months. To my knowledge this was the first time such a large number of Ferrai's have driven around central London.

There were 30 Ferrari's on the day. All are coming back, plus another 20 or so more for the next one.

First we get knocked for not letting other cars join in and now we getting flak for driving around central London having a bit of fun that caused NO harm to anyone. In fact, it was agreat time had by all including and especially the pedestrians who were all smiling and waving.

Just curious, but what car do you drive?

To be honest, those clips reek of "Look at us in our Ferraris"

What do I drive? Not that I see any relevance, but my road car is a Prelude Vtec. Could I afford a Ferrari? Yes, I could, however I have other, more pressing priorities than spending 60k+ on a car.

As for the "Ethos", well - do you really have to ask?

Being new to Ferrrai ownership, I have no idea what the Ferrari Ethos is. So I would be grateful if you could tell me.

As a non-owner I'd also be interested in what you think of Ferrari owners. The most common misconception is of rich arrogant idiot in expensive cars. I might be a idiot, but hopefully not arrogant....and definetly not rich.

As for the look at us in our Ferrari's ....... I think you're missing the whole point of it. There was a reason why it was called the Poseur Run.

This very website does wonders to dispel such myths, although your "Poseur Run" does the exact opposite.

Then you're absolutely going to hate what we are going to do in November!!

ApexClipper said:
Put it this way, do you really think the guys back in Modena built these cars to be driven in convoy around central London, sitting in a queue and reving the engines?

Did'nt they do that with the F1 cars down Regent Street last year?

Are you sure they were smilling and waving and not making rude signs / motions (resembling the "OK" sign but with a somewhat different meaning) and laughing AT you.

If you start doing this on a regular basis then you all need to take a long look in the mirror and ask why? It serves to give all who drive a sports car a bad name and where associations such as big car / small dick come from. But maybe you do!!!!!

If I do have a "small dick", I at least KNOW how to use it properly.

If you did'nt have your head up your arse, you'd have a chance to view the videos and see for yourself what the peoples reaction was.

But you have to agree that revving your engine like that at the lights is a bit knob-like!

If I did it by myself at the lights..... yes...I would be an uber tw@t.

But when you have over a dozen cars doing it and with the sound bouncing off the walls...it was awesome!!!!! And it was'nt planned. It was just a spur of the moment thing.

And the pedestrians loved it. I should know as I was right at the front at the lights and a couple of guys were signing me to rev mine mine.

I don't see any difference from doing that and driving into tunnels to hear the exhaust sound.

First we get slagged off for not letting other marques join in and now we get slagged off doing it.

Like I said before...... next year will probably be bigger and better. If you live in Fulham we can arrange a drive past at full revs.

Obviously you've never heard a screaming Tubi. Besides I recently got rid of a wife.... in no hurry to enter that land mine again.

Is that the best you can do? FYI, its fine. I think you're on sandy ground to start comparing German and Italian reliability. And I should know, the misses is Italian.

I think everyone should know that by popular demand you were the only person banned from the event. As I recall 98% of attendees specifically said they would not come if you attended.

Getting a 2CV may improve your driving ability.
