I want to do something along the lines of this;

http://www.sceniccartours.com/swiss-alps/457978082...

or this;

http://classictravelling.com/alps-tour/

Can anyone recommend any good tours and or routes?

I'm a little anxious about booking a group tour with people I don't know.

Not really a problem per-se as I have been on a few group trips trips by myself (Central Asia, Japan etc) but this time it would be my girlfriend and I.

She's 21, I'm 28, we will get on with most people, but somehow I am imagining a group of 65 year old MGB drivers!

Or maybe We should just book a couple of hotels, and set off ourselves...

Thanks for all of the usefull hints guys smile

I think I would like to plan it myself, but I've just started a new job, and I'm mega busy with that.

I like the idea of the tour but not having to convoy all of the time.

Also trying to understand what the tours are like, as I would probably like to take my 66 Alfa Giulia GT Sprint, and that goes pretty well, but would need to be worked hard to keep up with a real convoy hoon....

Plan b would be to take my M135i with satnav and cruise control and sat nav, waft along and the attack the odd road properly smile

I'm sure ut would be much more of an adventure in the Alfa, you certainly seem to make friends with lots of people in that car smile

Girlfriend is a bit sceptical about reliability, but its pretty well sorted, I've done some long ish trips in it. 150 miles in the alfa in one day will feel like a long trip, but the same in the BMW will be barely noticable. Hmmmm, know what my heart says!
