So if I leave a deposit for my kids I'm technically paying up front in full for them?
No it's a £10 deposit for kids, it's on the 1st tickets site thumbup

How far is this venue from Shelsley Walsh?
It's just over 100 miles.

Does BTaP have an attendance issue then?
It was cancelled due to very poor ticket sales.

300 tickets at £50 is a fair old amount.

I've no idea but does it really cost £15k to hire a field and associated bits & pieces?
It does indeed, as we've said, we're not doing it to make money but aren't going to make a loss either.

I will be announcing some activities in the next few days but it's certainly not just going to be camping for the money.

As said previously, we will be announcing things once they are confirmed as we don't want to say things will be happening then have to come back saying they won't be, the things we have in the pipeline (BTCC involvement for one) will be good and will be enjoyed by everyone in attendance.

BTaP has been mentioned and that is the exact reason we are taking deposits rather than full payments as if tickets don't sell (the same as the last BTaP) we can't host it.

This event does need your support or it won't happen, if you like PH (which I assume you do by being here) then please confirm your interest with a £25 refundable deposit, we can then go ahead with this great event and start the comeback for PH social events thumbup

I am certain that if you come, you will have a great weekend and if you don't you can hold me responsible biggrinthumbup

eybic,

Just sent you an email as a colleague has a band, has checked that they're available and would love to do the Gig for PH.

www.mustard-band.com

My colleague used to be the drummer in an AOR band called Dare back in the day...you can catch a glimpse of him at 0.56. smile

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMEGgYNNrCw

They can tailor make the playlist to the kind of thing that PHers want to listen to.

Cheers
Got it, thank you thumbup

The whole thing is a complete joke.

Its been 4 days since the latest 'update' and pretty much every comment since then has been negative. You'd think that as organiser eybic (or anyone in the PH team) would come on and try to drum up some positive PR for this event, or in the very least have the decency to answer some of the questions raised by members.

It's not even as if he can say he's been too busy as you can easily see he's been posting in other sections of the forum.

It's very bizarre behaviour, and also quite rude. No doubt this post along with everyone else's will be ignored.

Save your money people.
I'm sorry, I can't remember or seem to find where you have asked a question, all you seem to have decided is that I am intentionally making this event fail, yes of course I am, you've got me there thumbup

I will have some more news early next week for those that are interested and might want to attend rather than negatively commenting on a thread for an event they have no intention of attending

When we posted in April http://www.pistonheads.com/gAssing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

the feedback was positive, not a lot has changed with the planning but seemingly people have changed their minds. As I said, I'll update again in a few days.

As promised, I have some exciting news!

Our good friends at Dunlop are now involved in PistonFest and as a result, we have been able to slash the entry price to just £25 per person, so I'm sure you'll all be pleased to hear that.

I'll update the flyer but the latest news is:

The band we have booked have performed for us before at both BTaP and PistonFests, they are The Mighty Goodfellaz and will be playing a set with some great covers in on Saturday night.

We are also going to open up the stage to you all in a "PH has talent" feature whereby we will award prizes to the most popular acts, be it stand up, singing, dancing, pretty much anything as long as it's family friendly.

We have been contacted by some other companies wanting to get involved too and we will update on those as we have any more news.

To book your tickets at £25 per head, visit http://www.1st-tickets.co.uk/ph/enquiriespf14 the page will be updated shortly to reflect the £25 entry fee rather than being the deposit.

We will be confirming the food and drinks on offer within the next week.

Thank you
