Silverstone Sunday Service with track time!

Join us at the home of British motorsport for a Sunday Service with a difference

On Sunday March 22 PistonHeads is returning to Silverstone for a Sunday Service with the chance to drive your car around this iconic circuit. Built as a WWII RAF Bomber station in 1943 and first used for motorsport in 1947, Silverstone has hosted many a legendary race through seven decades. Motorsport actually began there when a local resident and some friends held an impromptu race around the two-mile perimeter track. By its conclusion there was a dead sheep and a written-off car...

We're hoping for neither of these outcomes off the back of our next visit to Silverstone, combining a PH Sunday Service and chance of track time too. The Sunday Service element will be the same as previously with space for 500 cars and gates opening at 0900h. Refreshments will be available to buy throughout the morning with the Sunday Service drawing to a close at 1300h. Sign yourself up via the calendar here.

Taster track sessions an added bonus
Taster track sessions an added bonus
We're also very excited to offer PHers the chance to drive their own cars on the 1.6-mile National Circuit with dedicated paddock parking. These sessions are designed as taster sessions and for just £45 you will get 30 minutes on track. Please note that if you book track time, your name doesn't need to be added to the Sunday Service calendar as you will be parked in the paddock not with the Sunday Service. The areas are next to each other though so you will be able to wander around looking at the readers' cars in attendance.

There are a few track sessions available throughout the day, however the PistonHeads specific ones are at 0900h for intermediate levels of track experience, 0935h for novices and 1010h for intermediates again (please note these are the "on track" times and briefings will need to be attended before then). All of our track sessions will have a maximum number of 20 cars per session so there will be plenty of space. We'll also be taking some of the PH Fleet cars on track and offering passenger rides in them.

In case you haven't been before, the address you're aiming for is: Silverstone Circuit, Towcester, Northamptonshire NN12 8TN

To book your track slot and for more info click here. Add your name to the Sunday Service calendar here.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Apologies if this has been asked before, but if you don't make the 500 list can you still park outside and walk in or this not allowed?

Thanks in advance.

Indeed there are but I doubt they would let you in to park there and wander round.

You're more than welcome to try but I don't think they let people in to park up and wander around, Silverstone have invited 500 PHer cars along and we don't want to jeopardise this by having more cars than they anticipate.

Another great Sunday service - PH even managed to book the weather!

I felt like I was the slowest thing on the track (grey MR2), but it was great fun! I'm glad the guys in the 911 are OK, it looked like a nasty shunt.

I also had a great drive back cross county, I'd forgotten just how nice the Northamptonshire countryside is.

Great day out! I was in the black focus ST with my other mate (2 black focus ST's on track in the 10.10am session) so we were red flagged twice with the 2 Porsche incidents. Glad that all involved were ok, only metal at the end of the day. If anyone has any video or pictures of our cars then please post.

Who had the 60 plate audi S4. What has it had done to it becasue it was an absolute monster! Think it was in the 9.10am session.
You guys were fast! Not sure which one it was, but the flames from the exhaust were good!

Overtaking on the corners/both sides is perfectly reasonable in a race session, but not on a move track session where it was made clear in the briefing that it was overtake only on the left when on the straights. thr guy is obviously quick and if the video was from an RMA track day I would be complimenting it, but not on a novice session where people aren't expexting to be overtaken on the corners.
