Morning all,

I'm sure a few are already aware of this but for those further afield - Bournemouth is hosting the 2nd running of the Wheels festival. It's all free, good weather, seaside, supercars, F1, monster trucks, displays - you name it!

Friday this year may be a little like the Monday of last, however - Sat & Sunday should be corkers.

I'll be one of the spirited few on the demonstration straight - if you do find yourself up in the BIC supercar hall then come say hello!

Bingo... Bank Holiday issues for everyone else in Bournemouth not there for the wheels festival. My understanding is that the hotels last year suffered as many of the guests could barely get out and about due to the congestion. Move it to the weekend after and it allows for a more tailored approach to visitors etc smile.

To answer the vehicle question - I'll be driving a Sepang bronze Ultima GTR

I'm down to be there Saturday & Sunday in the F50. Last year was a real laugh!
If you're the same gent that bought the F50 last time, then you made my weekend! I was parked in front of you with a Noble M12. This year I'm bringing the Ultima. Your car inspired me to perhaps look into running no silencers for the weekend..

Yes that was me, and I do remember you and your Noble! I was in the F50 and Jeremy Cottingham was in the dark silver Enzo.

I saw 120 at the chequered flag running back to the start, but that's proper heart in mouth stuff for braking since the old cars were dropping oil all over the place.

Yep - I seem to remember a few of us discussing our approach speeds, was getting a little silly. I feel they will incorporate a few more chicanes this year!

I'll second that, thought the welcome was spot on as we rolled in. Everyone keen to see and hear the cars, all be it perhaps in an interesting arrival route

The chicanes were certainly a little more challenging from last year, I quite enjoyed it though, nice to be able to give the Ultima a proper wiggle through some of them and shoot some flames.

Sad news to hear that at this point in time the Council are weighing up the cost benefit of the festival running again. Seems they are worried that they were down 200,000 on last years attendance figures.

Perhaps running it the weekend after the bank holiday and on a Friday would explain why!

James, you forgot to sit the Miura! At least the wife has one up on you !

Nice to see you again, did you get the engine hatch clip riveted ok?
Damn it - favourite car of the weekend and I didn't take a seat in her! Sandra kept re-telling the story about how she had actually sat in there, much to her enjoyment.

My friend only now thinks his hearing is returning after being near you when you fired her up, it's just obscene.

I did pop rivet it back on - on the Sunday but it pulled through again. The only real solution is going to be to open up the latch mount holes 1mm and put a larger rivet in with perhaps some form of bonding agent.

Dare I ask - will we see the Miura J on the UK roads again this year or has she flown home?

I got told off for speeding on Sunday. I felt bad but the crowd want to see and hear cars going fast. It's a difficult situation really. I drove on Friday and the morning of Sunday in the White GT3. I did plenty of full bore launches and the crowd loved it.
Saw you go off a few times in front of me and you were also were part of the convoy on Sat night I seem to remember? The GT3 looked great, as did the 997. Both sounded fantastic as I heard you coming into the turnaround point after the performance straight.
