REVO Sunday Service 8/5/2016

We've had a few weeks off so it's about time for another Sunday Service, right?

If you're the type to tinker under the bonnet aiming to squeeze out a few extra horses out of your motor then this event will be right up your street as we head to Daventry for our first ever Sunday Service with Revo Technik.

These clever lads first started adapting and tuning cars in 2002 and have since grown into a world leading supplier of engine management upgrade packages for leading marques like Volkswagen, Audi and Ford. Demand for its product is such Revo now operates in over 40 countries through a network of over 400 authorised dealers.

It's had some fun along the way too, helping out with various record-breaking projects including the commercial vehicle lap record of 9min 57sec around the Nordschleife, driven by PH contributor Dale Lomas.

On the day Revo will be demonstrating its skills by conducting a live Stage 1 remap on PH's own Skoda Octavia vRS to give RacingPete a little more power to play with on the way back from the tip run. Places are limited to only 140 for this event so please ensure you only put your name down if you can 100 per cent attend. Big Brother will be watching!

Put your name down here.

Royal Oak Way often has a speed camera van on it.

It's a 30 limit, and they enforce it aggressively.

A45 / Stefan Way is being resurfaced... lots of tar and stones.

You may want to take the scenic route if you are approaching from Weedon direction / the South.

Thanks for this, I'm staying at the premier inn on the A45 so I'll avoid it on the way in tomorrow morning.

Cheers

Steve
No problem. Saw the 20mph and signs warning of chirppings.

Ok, so from where you are - A45 to the A425, then head towards Eastern Way, then on to Revo.

Was there a camera there today? As I didn't see anything.
No, not this morning - but there was last week!

Really enjoyable SS. Revo were great hosts, decent bacon butty, tea, coffee and juice too. Poor local people won't find a bread roll for their BBQ tonight though hehe

Interesting mix of cars, and good to inside a tuning company and how they work.

Who owned the Escort Cossie? Interested to know what's lurking under that... the transmission whine as it left was crackers!

Really, really impressed with Revo. Nice to see that everything had its place - nice clean units that were clearly well organised. Nice to sit in the new Mustang too.

If I hadn't spent a fortune at Mountune, I could have been tempted to do it there hehe

That'll be mine.....no, it's not broken lol, this is the noisy bit, straight cut gearkit ! Maybe not to everyones taste but then what is ! I love it on A & B roads sounding like a rally car though can get a little wearing on a long motorway stint at the constant pitch it hits at 80mph ! i carry earphones for such occasions smile

Sounded properly nuts - was almost surprised to see an interior when you left!

Lovely car cloud9

Great to meet you all yesterday, I (and I'm sure I can speak for the rest of the Revo team) really enjoyed it.
Some lovely cars turned up, and it's always nice to mingle with like minded car nuts.
Thank you all for coming, hope to see you at another event soon!
One of our neighbours was complaining yesterday afternoon that there were no bread rolls in Tesco... hehe
