PH meet, The Woodman, Ide Hill, Thursday 8th September, 6pm!

After some discussion in the PH SE gathering thread, we finally have a date for an evening at the Woodman!

I've secured us an evening at The Woodman in Ide Hill. A very nice pub who are very accommodating to car clubs, there is an outside area and plenty of spaces inside for those who wish to eat.

Glad to see my first attempt at organising a meet went down well

Already looking into a second, i'll try and sort one before our decent weather sods off for the year. If not, there'll be one soon!

I took my camera out that evening and they'll be a few pics coming shortly.

Despite my initial determination my car had other plans and threw its PAS belt on the way! The belt took a turbo coolant line on its way out so if anyone saw a white Mk2 MX5 at the side of the road then that was me! Sorry I didn't make it!

Took the OH out thinking it would be nice to go there for Sunday Lunch. After the 1hr drive there the place was closed! FFS Car park barriers down and Security notices in the windows! Looks like the Tenants had enough and closed up
Found another pub to have lunch only to find they were fully booked until gone 4:30, Gave up and came home to some Pitta bread and Humus, polished off with Jaffa cakes!

Another total disaster pub Sunday

Our last meet I set up was the complete opposite, very welcoming and loved the cars.

I did hear they were relatively new, shame to hear they've gone though. Here's hoping that the next tenants are just as welcoming!
