Silverstone Classic with kids
Discussion
I'm set on getting to Silverstone Classic this year and hoping to make it a family event.
Lad 15, says he's keen on coming though will prob be bored with the racing after a few hrs. Daughter 14 did like camping but suddenly seems to have aged 5 years and rarely has time to bother responding to any form of communication from me. Mrs will come along but will prob cost me a holiday somewhere.
Just wondering how much 'family' stuff there is to do? Is it unfair to take them? We've done Carfest for the last few years but was somewhat disappointed with last years event. Hoping the Classic will have a bit more car content.

Ahh no concerns on that front at all. Mine are a bit older and wiser and were brought up knowing the fear of a hot bottom and a TV out the window!
I'm wondering if they will be the only kids on the campsite or will there be others there too? It's advertised as a 'family' event but no doubt it will be much more motorsport focused than Carfest now is.
I'm sure they'll be fine having a day at the track but I imagine by the second or third day they'll be bored of watching cars drive round in circles. That goes for the Mrs too.
Another question in that regard. You you park by your tent or elsewhere? I was thinking of telling the Mrs to come in her own car and that way if her and daughter want an early departure they have the option. It's free parking I believe but could a car be left in the day car parks overnight?
