I've been told to tell you both you are pussies for not turning up due to "poor weather".
At least I have a decent excuse wink (and it's raining here too, well it is winter in 4 more days)

of course it was last night that I was told so apologies if you have turned up

Oh and Hi Ali waveybeer
We're just off to Observation City for the night wink

eta Ali how long are you staying at PF? Might give you another call later (how's the head? wink )

irony. like bronzy, only more fitting.

i was too weak to show up when it was raining, yet ali was asleep in her car by 8pm and action man nick P was home first thing this morning after 'surviving' a night in a car, which has resulted in a poorly back.

and im about to head back in the rain.

as I'm sitting here, drinkin Champage with Al, listening to the band.... I think it's safe to say he *is* here smile
Yeah ... I only went to see three people ... one of 'em gave me a glass of champagne and the others fecked off a day early ... so I came home again wink

Seriously though ... how many tents will be left standing in the morning is anybody's guess!
Sorry chaps, I feel embarrased having started this thread only to find out that Ali nicked off home early rolleyes

Lucky I didn't come all the way to see you Ali wink (just kidding)
Maybe next year... (Too busy in summer here to do BTaP although that looks MUCH more my style, I don't do camping)
That motorhome in Pikey's pics looks the ticket; whose was that?

Sorry Tim, when we spoke I'd been reliably informed that they weren't coming frown

And I stayed up till 10.30pm - you rang me to say you were going to bed at 4.30pm! hehe

It was cold, wet and horrible - most of us went home, bring the sun with you for next year please? biggrin
4.30 Ha!! it was nearly midnight here and I needed some sleep so I would be fully functional wink for our "dirty weekend".
Have put some pics of where we went instead on Gorvid's "who isn't going" thread (which I notice you have gatecrashed rolleyes )

Ben do they own that motorhome or was it a rental? Any idea of the cost? If I do a PF I would seriously want something like that biggrin

..However, I don't think they're really in the spirit of things like PF. Steve used a motorhome as his wife and children were there and looking after them in that is easy. But the thing is you go inside, shut the door and it's as if you're in your own little world - you're no longer at PF, but at a hotel.

I think if you're going to go to PF and you want the atmosphere, you should be in a tent. It's a bit like people who go to Le Mans and stay in a hotel... IMHO they're not getting the whole weekend.
I know what you mean, I guess for me the alternative would be a local hotel but with a MH I could have the comfort and still be onsite. I could see myself staying up all night (believe me I play air guitar with the best of them wink ) and only crashing in the MH when too drunk to stand. I don't think you need to suffer the cold & damp to be "in the spirit" (mind you I have just shaken off mild pneumonia so I'm prolly a bit biased ATM wink )

eta I would (could only afford to) do it by sharing with several other PHers, so I really think it could add to the jollies of the weekend rather tthan detract... BTW did Buster do PF this year?
