i cant add someone else on the calender!

360's fine, was just a broken terminal on the alternator.
Phew, so not a new alternator I hope?

hey,
I have called the carpark firm twice with no real responce. As of today im a bit piled under with work , hence me finishing at 12 today from 4 am...can somone please give them a buzz to confirm. the pubs fine and confirmed its just whoever i speak to at the carpark never gets back...cheers lads and ladies.
We are all ok for then.....just be there early as will be busy.....

you snooze, you loose biggrin
Tbops, I spoke to the guys that run to the carpark who promptly informed me that we need to let them know 1 month in advance so as they can put forward a plan for the day to run things smoothly. He also said the possibility of first aiders and maybe a fire crew?

I don't know enough about regulations but I stressed that it was a gathering of people, NOT an event. I have emailed him over the details and told he we expect between 150 - 200 cars if things go according to plan.

But whatever happens, the car park will infact be open! smile

Yeah they don't seem to know whats going on...

I spoke to a woman to start with who interrupted me and said "No no no, you can't just turn up with god knows how many cars, its simply not right, you need permission!".

She then put me on hold to speak to the guy in charge but forgot to put me on hold so I could hear what she was saying! hehe

Either way, theres a Virginia Water meet taking place! thumbup

Hope you get the car fixed!

right ill be there early then if there any issues ill have to either speak to them or just pay off the guy in charge to work for us for the day or promise him a spin in somthing nice .
He sounds like a greenie so perhaps paying them off would suffice! rofl

Phil & Emma: I was almost like a fly on the wall as when she 'put me on hold' (rolleyes) she was silent and then said "I have a man on the phone who wants to hold an event this sunday for 200 cars?! Surely he could have given more notice! I have told him that..." *beeeeeeeeeep*. I'm guessing the beep was when she finally stuck me on hold! hehe

This is the email I just received from the Crown Estate who regulate and look after the Virginia Water carpark:

Graham the carpark man said:
Robert
Thank you for your E mail, we are prepared to accept your meeting on Crown Estate Land with a few provisos. We will have staff supervising the entrance, and the normal car park charge will apply. We will make a ceiling of 200 cars which we expect you enforce. We would like your cars to park in the top right hand side of the car park, which we will supervise. There is a large sponsored walk on that Sunday which has been organised for some time at the Viginia Water car park, hence the limitation on numbers. I would be grateful if you could give us notice in the future of at least one month. I hope this is all expectable, and I hope you have a very good meet. Regards Graham
So....at the moment it looks as though we won't go over but please do stick your name down if you are attending to avoid turning up and being dissapointed about being turned away!

Here is the multimap!

The postcode is GU25 4QF. The pub is situated right next to the carpark but I can gurantee you will not miss it.

You will probably find people start making tracks around then anyway, it always seems to be the way. We have been allocated the right hand side of the carpark but I advise you park on the extreme left opf the right hand side for a quick getaway!

Its just off the London Road (A30).

If I had vagcom I would bring it as I feel I could do with it to check a few faults on my car at present.

I do love my S2, but I would rather an RS4 if the truth be told! biggrin

I have a feeling that either my MAF, rotory arm or Lambda probe are faulty. VAGcom would be able to tell me if the MAF or lambda are playing up so I shall borrow one off of another S2 owner shortly I think.

(please excuse a few scratches on the S2, it got attacked by a flying gazebo but that will soon be rectified and it will be looking like new again!)

Was a good meet indeed and a good array of cars on display in the sunshine.

Would also like to just say thanks to tbops & Robatr0n and any others that made this possible following their phone calls and liason with the relevant people clap

It was nothing really, I just dropped them a few phonecalls and emails so as they wouldn't whinge about us turning up unannounced....even though they didnt stick to their part of the bargain!

Next time I shall give em a call much further in advance and keep pesturing them to make sure they don't forget!

Oh and I would like to thank you for bringing the Lotus Carlton! I adore that car and it is in such prestine condition. biggrin

However, even though they are great photos, they will never justify how good this thing looks in the flesh.
