Hi Guys,

Having a slight problem with outgoing email, this should be resolved anytime but in the meantime..

I'm afraid its that time!!

Please could anyone intending to drive send a £100 deposit cheque to me at the address below.

Please could you also email me just to say who you are and what your car is as I'm just trying to amalgamate everything after being away for a week.

Final cost looking likely to be approx £150 as last time was (Certainly no more, might be slightly less)

I've had a lot of people emailing offering to marshall on the day. I'm very grateful, thank you. I may ask head marshalling honcho Greg e240 to coordinate this on the day in return for free burgers and rides!!

Thanks again guys.

we will have the circuit completely to ourselves and will kick off approximately 9.30 with an informal safety briefing & drive around, start doing runs immediately after and until about 1 ish. The burger van will be there all day if anyone wants food/coffees etc, post lunch will prob do a couple of runs then break for some straight line sprinting for an hour or so giving a good few hours for more runs in the afternoon.

Gosh Craig - such an "interesting" company you work for....

starsupply's web site said:
Implied volatilities for differing strike prices and maturities are backed out of the options premium levels. A snapshot of the implied volatility surface for a given settlement date and commodity can be graphed. For example, the graph above shows a plot of the volatility surface for no. 2 heating oil on April 16, 2002.

And I thought I worked in an industy with lots of long words!

[ps. why do you think I spend so much time on ph! I havent figured out what my job is yet!?!

Hi chaps, kiddos are no problem at all, just make sure you keep an eye as there are lots of cars about so be super aware (I know you will be but I have to say that!)

Re costs, still working on final costings, at moment we dont have 30 definites so costs same but rest assured if they do come down you'll be the first to know.

Good spread of cars too!

**************** Some Details ******************

Times:
Will probably aim to kick off about 9.30 with a short safety briefing, signing of disclaimers and a drive around. Will be winding up around 4-5ish depending on how we are going.

Directions: It is bruntingthorpe proving ground in Leicestershire (off M1) see map here:

www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&db=hcgaz&addr1=&client=public&addr2=&advanced=&addr3=&pc=&X=460267&quicksearch=bruntingthorpe&Y=290092&scale=100000&cidr_client=none&place=Bruntingthorpe,Leicestershire&coordsys=gb

Safety:
This is a private booking so helmets are optional, you will be asked to sign a disclaimer BEFORE driving. Please be sensible, we dont want any accidents. Whilst we are there to have a LOT of fun and some VERY high speeds please be aware of others, and your own, and your vehicles limits. If the track is wet take your first few runs very cautiously until used to braking distances etc. Ask Tony 996 if you need verification of this

Spectators:
Very welcome, no charge, you may be asked to do a spot of marshalling (nothing too taxing). Please be very cautious when on the track (ie waiting areas) as cars may be coming up very quickly behind you. Non driving cars (ie non paying), please observe a 30mph speed limit and keep to the left.

Checks:
Check your cars over fully the day before, fluid levels, tyre pressures & condition. Make sure the car is clean as this makes it go a lot faster, its true its true!

Paying:
Will know final cost in the next day or so, is looking like it might dip just under £150 per car. Those who have paid full amount will be reimbursed. Anyone who hasnt paid in full/deposit please bring cash on the day.

One more thing, it can get very very cold there so wrap up warm.

Any more questions ladies & gents ?

thanks, bring them along, might be helpful. Although to be honest we only really have 1 set of Marshalls sending cars out at 1 minute intervals, there isnt anywhere else to put them, might be handy for coordinating stuff though. Thanks.

******* spectators **************

Those spectators not there by 9.30 wait by the burger van in the carpark, you will still have a good view of the cars finishing the runs & coming by you. Every 20 mins or so we will check the carpark & bring any latecomers to a safe place.

This is for everyone's safety so please adhere to.

Gentlemen, what can I say........

Thanks to those of you that turned up and took part so spectaularly. Those that didnt, you missed a great day.

Greg&Emma, thanks for all your help, much appreciated as always.

Badger, your little Ibiza was the true star of the day I feel, you should be very proud.

Derestrictor, top effort on the removal of windscreen wipers and a true gent as always

JeremyC, an estate car shouldnt go that fast or corner that well, its just wrong.

Daz, once again, top speed of the day at 179mph (more speeds posted later chaps)

I was informed towards the end that at some stages there was a 20mph headwind on the main straight which is why speeds were slightly down on last time.

Joust, dont know what to say, get a good solicitor, you deserve better.

Adam, top chap, should leave with head held high.

To the Audi RS4 crew, top effort for making a true day of it, the Beemer estate full of wheels is the funniest thing in ages.

Mr T350 (I wont post your name), I know that spin wasnt intentional but it looked brilliant & my best mate Andy (who was in the car) is still gibbering.

Ultima&Lambo, my ears are still bleeding.

The Ferrari 360's, 2 great Chaps Richard & Paul, and nice to see they werent treating them with kid gloves, those cars were pushed hard.

Mr Tony, happy birthday, didnt realise, thanks for holding up the maser contingent.

The other Noble boys, you just scare me. Ibrokers son must have had the best day of his life!

Once again thanks everyone, VMAX 3 spring 2004, dates TBA.

ps. I was thinking,. next time we should tow the Smart behind one of the RS4's and see how quick it can go

Thanks again chaps.

agreed, the first time I went we did some "racing" using the whole circuit. I had to get a respray afterwards which is why I always insist that we keep a nice gap on "our" days out. It doesnt ruin the fun & means you dont go home crying!
