Nurburgring Camping

Hi folks, advice needed please.
A few of us are heading out on a week long eurotrip on June 12th (LM weekend actually) and had planned to spend the first 3 nights camping at the 'ring.
Thing is the internet seems to be useless at providing the information we need which is:
Where is the campsite(s) and if there is a choice then which is best?
Will it be open when we want to stay?
How much does it cost and how do you pay?
Do you need to pre-book?
If you don't need to pre-book, can you turn up any time?
Sorry for all of the questions but we are driving directly from the north of England in a day so want to have arrangements in place.
