To put this simply, this is going to be a big hoon around Surrey. I've sorted the route and it really is very good indeed!

The Date is Sunday 11th April
The time is 07:00 meet with a sharp departure at 07:15

***The meet point is the entrance to Denbies Vine Yard.***
The route will be pm'ed to all who have put their name down on the list the week leading up to the run with both an itn file for tomtoms and written instructions.

The route has been tested and we are all agreed that the route was awesome and great fun - make sure you're there and that your friends are too!

DISCLAIMER - This is an informal drive amonst friends and not a race of any description, and there is no official organiser. The route above is merely a suggestion, and there are no prizes awarded.

George

Interested, subject to date?
Cool - I'll pick out a date (will be a Sunday Morning) which doesn't coincide with other meets and post up when we've got enough people interested smile

Just add your name to the list and we'll start a new list when the date and location are announced smile

Nice 1 George, you going to include a sneaky tunnel in there anywhere?
I might just have to wink

If anyone has any specific roads they would like to be on the run, please suggest them so that I can try to include them.

I've done a route, but would like to test it...
It starts in box hill car park.

Is anyone up for a test of the run this Sunday at 07:30 to see what the route is like? Please pm me if you are interested smile

Can I suggest that you don't post up the route on this thread, as Mr Plod trawls through here looking to see where to set his Scamera van up. Last one we did on The Hampshire Ring last year attracted 2 vans on our published route. Route could be given out at meeting point!
hehe

The huge 20mph procession past him still makes me chuckle to this day hehe
hehe

I was going to pm it through a few days before smile

where will the route end? biggrin
Probably around Reigate area, but if not it will be in the same place as the meet point. The aim is to find an end point which is easily reachable by M25 to make journeys home easier smile (Suggestions welcome)

The test run was successful (and absolutely awesome)biggrin

Only slight problem is that the Box hill car park wasn't open early enough.
This being the case I have moved the start point.

Here is a map of the new start point and end point:
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8...

The Start point is the entrance to Denbies Vine Yard. Please don't go under the bridge, we don't want to disturb the residents too much!

The itn file and instructions will be sent out the week before the run.

George

Right Mr Williams now you have had a test run what sort of mileage are you looking at
It's just under 50 miles point to point and there will probably be a few regroup points on the route.
