It's time for Supercar Sunday Once Again bounce

Traditionally the busiest GBC of the year so we'll need to be up with the Larks wink

We'll do the usual with the Run from Guildford Cathedral.......... so aim to arrive at the Cathedral for 6:00am with a view to a departure at 6:30am or if it's really busy we may stagger departures with a first group leaving at 6:15 ? We'll see how it pans out on that one smile

Postcode for the Cathedral is GU2 7UP for the benefit of newbies and the route will be pretty much the usual and with plenty of veterans likely to be there i'm sure the route is well known and many will have itn's from previous GBC Runs.

Who's in ???

1. Spiritof'76 - Escort RS Cosworth

FYI - there's a thread already in the Goodwood section...
Thanks for that biggrin just had a look........... to be honest i never think to look in that section rolleyes We always have a thread on it in this section aswell so here we are smile I know someone else usually does this thread but i know he has another commitment for May 1st so is unsure on his own attendance so i thought i'd get the ball rolling in 'Events' rather than not have it happen atall smile

Is that early enough?
That's a very good point.......... i copied the times from last years thread, i can't recall if we actually departed on time or late last year but i do remember having to queue for about 40 mins at the Goodwood gates last year which was the only downer of the day really frown so yes, times are up for review if the consensus is that people would prefer to go earlier......... just didn't want to put too many people off by going really early lol

Makes no odds to me, i'll be there however early folks want to do this biggrin

seeing as it's super car Sunday, the list seems very light.
Thread was later than usual going up this year........... i reckon the Cathedral will be no less busy though as many will show up without adding themselves onto list smile

Can anyone confirm that we are taking the same route as last years run?
I would guess the exact same......... i know there is a route A and a route B itn knocking about but i think the differences are minimal.

I think the itn i have saved is a B route but i don't have an A to make an exact comparison smile Seem to recall there is a set of lights fairly early in the route that some go straight through and other cars go left but everybody is back together quite soon after smile that's from memory anyway......... i've missed quite a few of these GBC's now rolleyes

Good run down again. I did laugh however when we all left the cathedral following the lead car who obviously thought the way to Goodwood was northbound on the A3...caused a lovely tailback as we then all had to come back off at the next junction and navigate two sets of lights at the roundabout before heading back in the proper direction biggrin
I would like to state for the record that i didn't lead in the end as despite being early i wasn't the first there biggrin

I was guilty of being a sheep though as when the first cars made an immidiate mistake on leaving and taking the wrong roundabout exit........ i did follow them thinking do they know something i don't biglaugh

Nevermind, all good clean fun bounce............ shame it was fairly damp en route though blah

We do need a new itn for this though as the B route i was using seemed to have a lot of mistakes and i had to keep deleting waypoints frown

Great day, but why was the 1 series on the track with all the other rare machinery..?
Supercar Sunday seemed a bit of a jumble all round this year really......... on arrival i didn't really expect to be waved through to the covered paddocks but that's what happened smile

Doesn't really bother me too much as i'm happy to look at anything half decent biggrin I guess owners of some suitably themed cars may have felt put out if they found themselves at the far flung corners of the site cry

Stroke of luck the wheels were left pointing that direction or that would have been one very disgruntled S2K owner frown Well done to the fella's that grabbed the Tiv and stopped it rolling much further eek
