Ok i recently had issues with my car went to take it out one day and within driving 50 yards had smoke coming out of the exhaust.Got it recovered to a local garage who could not find the fault so next had it recovered to a main dealer garage for them to check it over. The car was running before it got to them but they said it would not start.Anyway there guy had a look around but could not find the non start issue I told him I had an issue with a fuse on a row of them in the engine bay(bad connection).cut a long story short its the fuse that powers the ecu so once he had a fiddle car started.
Hooked up to diagnostic fault with smoke was one bank running extra rich and other running extra lean so simple ecu reset to cure problem.Garage also replaced my fuse holder and connectors from wires that go onto the fuse holder. Now car would not start they said there was no power going to the coil car would turn over but not fire up they recon the ecu was working still as they had a reading out of it.they tried to find the reason the car would not start(replaced coil pack to no avail) and after 3 weeks of having my car and it being worse than when it got to them they have washed there hands of it. So car has been recovered to another speacialist garage to hopefully find the problem.Seems odd car was running before they fitted this fuse holder then it would not start.I told them to check the connectors that go onto the spades of the fuse holder and other obvious things that they say they have.As you can understand im a bit disheartened by it all I know it will be something simple and I cant help but think its something the other garage have done any ideas what you guys think it could be ?

the garage that did the work on the car are a main dealer in the south with a supposedly good reputation not in my eyes now after this hassle.Car has gone to a place I have been before at Bruntingthorpe very well respected place do top work and work on nobles all the time only shame was it cost me over 3oo notes to get it recovered to them Im sure they will find the problem not sure how I will stand if its something the other garage have done to car thats causing the problem as I still had to pay them some money for labour spent on car even though its come out as a non runner but was running when it went into them.

the first garage did not have the right diagnostics for the car and the car was running it was the smoke issue it went in for.The other garage said car would not start but after telling them about my faulty fuse connectors they had a fiddle with the fuse/connectors and it started.Smoke issue was solved with an ecu reset they fitted a new fuse holder(holds 4 fuses 1 for ecu 1 for fuel pump not sure about the other 2 since then cars not started ?
