So I change the gearbox oil in my Honda for the stuff that is recommended i.e. Honda MTF3. Its been a couple days now since the change and it has gotten slightly better than day 1, but its still someway off before the change. Prior to the change the change was butter smooth. Is this a normal phenomenon and is the change likely to be back to as before?

I assume the new oil is still working its way around all the cogs.

The change was actually carried out by a well known well respected Honda specialist.

That gives me some hope, I might give it another week. My journey to work is only 4 miles one way so it might take a few extra miles to smooth things out.

Regarding the guys that changed my oil. Am convinced they did everything correctly as they are unlikely to make amateur mistakes. They've probably change gearbox oil hundreds of times.

I had something like this with a BMW box, it was almost as if you could feel the oil and friction, but if faded away over time.
