To change or not to change......
Discussion
Gents,
I currently own a 1999 W202 C230 K (Mercedes C Class) with just over 165k (yes, she's a peach ) anyway, I am concerned that the car has never had a transmission fluid change and whilst the car starts and drives fine, the shifts are a little rough...
So my question is, should I go ahead and change the transmission fluid?
The concern that I have is that if I change the fluid now, could this free up a load of gunk etc. from the previous years and cause even bigger problems than I have now? Or should I just change the fluid and see how it goes?
I know the saying, if it's not broken don't fix it, but with fluid changes that doesn't really apply.
Thanks all
Chris
