Fuel filter leaking after service
Discussion
I had my car serviced yesterday at local VW specialist. I now noticed a very bad diesel leak from the fuel filter. It is literally dripping and pouring out when the engine is running.
I am taking the car back first thing next morning, but I need to know if there is anything else I should be concerned about now. Could diesel dissolve intercooler pipe, or anything else in the vicinity and what do I need to get done (presumably for no extra cost?!)
Also, is it just a bad luck with duff filter part, or bad incompetence from the mechanic?
The car is '06 SEAT Toledo 1.9TDI

The car is now at the garage waiting for the morning (thanks to helpful AA recovery)
Do I need to make sure the mechanic changes anything else, does a jet wash or similar? I could see there was a little bit of diesel falling on alternator pulleys and the bottom intercooler hose was soaking in it. Thanks.
