Paddle shifters

was wondering if it was possible to fit paddle shifters in a manual car like a Subaru Impreza 2008.

i don't want the 'it will be easier to buy a car with them already'

genuinely looking for info on how it would be done and how much it would cost rougly

out of my price range was look at maybe 1500 maybe 2000 max. Maybe one day, thanks anyway
