Coolant and car stopping problem

My 2006 plate Audi A4 s line seems to have a coolant problem. Two garages I have been to cannot tell me what is wrong with it. I'm having to top my coolant up every day sometimes twice a day now. Also when I put my car on from when it's been parked for a few hours, it just shakes and then stops. It will do this a few times and I have to rev the engine to get it going and it's ok after that. Well it's not a perfect drive but it doesn't stop again. Perfect drive meaning it's shakes whilst driving. Is there anyone that could please help me on what this problem maybe! Thanks
It's a 2ltr diesel that I have. So would that change things? And is a big job do you reckon? I don't know if it's worth me repairing it well once I find out what it is or to just sell it as it is. I don't know if I'm making it worse by driving it everyday! 😁 don't know much about cars!k
