Hooke joint installations
Discussion
Hi,
interested to know why all the hooke joint installations I've seen on American built vehicles use u-bolts to retain the bearing cups whilst the UK (can't speak for elsewhere) seem to prefer solid flanges and retaining the bearing cups with circlips.
The latter method appears to be the stronger of the two.
