Is anyone aware of whether any options exist for me to hire some valve seat cutters?

Given they will most likely be a single use item, (given the angle required and the throat size) I wondered whether I could hire a mandrel/pilot and cutter from somewhere. I would of course pay for the consumable items (blades), plus offer a deposit for the full value of the kit.

I need a 9mm pilot, with a 70 or 75 degree cutter for a 45mm seat.

Any ideas/offers?

I don't quite see what you mean about 70/75 for a 45 seat?
If you are prepared to come up one day in the week you can use my SP Neway hand cutters FOC, I have 60 and 70 degree ones for bottom cuts. We are J28 M1

Thanks. That's a very generous offer.

Sorry, my post wasn't very clear. I'd like to cut either a 70 or 75 degree angle to open up the port throats from the valve seat, prior to cleaning out the excess material further up the port towards the valve guide. The valve seats are 45mm diameter, so I'd need a cutter suitable for that size seat.

I'm based at the other end of the country though, in South Bucks.

Cheers, Fergus
