Hi all,

Very quickly I've got a 2004 Grand Cherokee with the Mercedes 2.7 CRD engine.
Whilst re-fitting a recon alternator I had to remove the inter-cooler pipe that runs from the front of the engine bay back to the turbo itself.
At the turbo end of the pipe there was a small trace of oil inside. Would this be considered normal/OK for an engine with 95K on the clock ?
I'm going to guess the turbo is oil cooled and its just a minor weep. My engine doesn't smoke during normal driving, but will put out a puff of smoke if you floor it.
I also add about a litre of oil for every 6K miles I drive.

Any thoughts ?

Cheers
