Hi guys,

I was wondering if someone would be able to assist me diagnose a fault.
I have a 56 plate 1.6 Diesel Ford Cmax. Done 115,000 miles.
Last week my wife noticed that as she accelerated (I think in second) the car just cut out but the lights on the dash didn't come on until completely stopped. Started the car up again and fine drove for a week no problems.
The same thing happened to me again yesterday twice, not hard acceleration just steady and it wouldn't accelerate and had died, no lights on dash.

Has anyone experienced similar? Or could point me in the direction of how to fault find? I have so far spent a lot of money on this car repairing it, New Clutch & DMF, Turbo, Services etc.

Thanks in advance

Kieran

I have a very cheap reader and it says P2002 which I believe is Diesel Particulate Filter, however I am not sure my car actually has one?

Just checked and this is an old code not cleared out.
Also, this only seems to be happening at 3000 revs in 2nd gear. Could be oxygen sensor or something ECU related?

Complete power cut off, when it's happened, it's like the car no longer wants to accelerate (because it's shut off, and a few seconds later, the lights come on the dash board. Turn the key again and it works fine.
I've taken it out again this evening, and I can get it to happen each time 2nd gear at 3000rpm.
