My pinto race engine is having a rebuild and although the rods and pistons are undamaged I'm contemplating changing them for more modern bits. Does anyone have experience of using them and what are the benefits over standard cosworth configuration from 30 odd years ago. It will cost about a grand extra on the rebuild and I am unsure if it's worth doing.

Thanks for the replies. The rebuild budget can afford it as the engine has been very reliable since 2009 and low cost over the race seasons.
