Turbo insulation

I am interested in getting a insulation blanket for my turbo as I would like to reduce my engine bay temps. I have heard that they can help a turbo spool up quicker but I have also just read they they can over heat bearings in the turbo and should only be used on journal bearing turbos or WRC spec.
