The input oil seal on my BTR diff is leaking; does anyone know, typically, how tight the nut is that I will need to undo on the diff input, to get to the oil seal?

I'm trying to work out if I can get it undone with a heavy duty socket set with extensions or whether I would need to hire a compressed air driven impact wrench.

Thanks

Thanks, that sounds promising. I can get the car 2ft off the ground on some full length ramps. I've got a 3/4" drive socket wrench with a 20" handle on it and a short length of scaffold tube for extra leverage.

Presumably I'll have to stop the wheels trying to turn at the same time!!

Biggest problem I had was finding a socket to fit, in fact so far I haven’t.
Isn't it a standard metric size then?
