Hello Everyone!

I'm new to this site and I'm hoping for some advice please?

I have a Peugeot 206, 1996 about 78,000 miles on it. I have been advsied that the thrust bearing on the clutch has gone. Which evidently means an entire new clutch is needed.
Apparently this is quite a common occurence in a model of this age? (Although my Husband would have me believe it is due to my heavy handling??)

I am in quandary, whether to have this replaced and hope for the best or wondered if anybody suggest that this is a good time to sell? I am worried that this is the start of my car's demise.

Thanks alot for any of your thoughts!
Sam

Thanks for that!
I am heavy handed on the old gear change..so the worry is that I have caused more trouble under the surface of this clutch repair, (hard to say without seeing it I know)

I have also just had the middle of the exhaust replaced so I think the panic was that, it's reached an age of "one thing after another"!

I realise this is probably boring stuff to you guy's! But its really helpful to me, so thank you for your thought.
