So, I'm pretty sure mine has given up the ghost as I have very little pedal feel, hard to engage gears and is loosing fluid (had to top up master cylinder).

Have got it home, but is this a specialist job to replace or an "on the drive" one?

I understand it's a cow to access?

Anyone on here near Maidstone that can help as I don't want to drive too far?

Part numbers/availability?

Joy of joys...recently had an LS7 clutch fitted so really don't want that expense.

Not losing masses of fluid, but there looks to be a bit of fluid on bellhousing hence me diagnosing slave cylinder.

Having said that, I've found a few things amiss since having my car returned from a certain someone. It may just be a loose nut like the ones I found on driveshaft after having diff fitted, but don't suppose I will know until the box is away from engine!

Not going to name and shame...yet! But you know who you are!!!

Neil, I'll be in touch.

Is there an upgraded one worth having?

Fluid is the usual black gloop you get with Monaro after driving them our of the showroom.

The fluid loss is the worry and the lack of pedal pressure

Not a happy bunny :-(

Why on earth would someone fit a clutch & not do the slave while the box it out yikes
Hopefully the fluid has not done the new clutch
Neil...let's just say nothing would surprise me now!!! Most unimpresed.

Mr Ingram...I wonder if it was the same shop...?

I drove from Miadstone to Sittingbourne and felt the pedal loose feel...managed to get to work at Barking by which time it was almost impossible to engage gears...was having to go back to my ERF driving days with the twin-splitter box and getting the revs right to engage...popped bonnet and res was empty...topped up with fluid and pumped it though...got home to Maidstone and now half way down reservoir...Must be slave right?

I seem to think I've seen an uprated one somewhere? Have I been sniffing too much petrol or is there such a thing?

Just found a company called Tick Performance in USA. They do an adjustable master cylinder which all the problems we're experiencing. Anyone used it?
