Once again for anyone interested.

Gareth, Gurmeet and I are planning a return trip such was the experience.
We only touched the surface of what was going on.

Essential equipment;
- Spare rear tyres
- Linelock
- 20L fuel container
- Engine Oil
- Gearing for 100mph+ cruising; autobahn's of course and Ill be impressed if you never get overtaken by the local Merc's, BMW's, Porsches etc. We were all left behind at times wink
- Sleeping bag
- GPS Satnav
- Walkie Talkies

I spent a total of £1200 for the week. That included ferry crossings to Denmark and the UK, plus toll bridges etc.

I think next time we will do it in 2 days each way. 3 was relaxing, but un-necessary, we did a mega 18hr run on the way back, which was a bit too hard core.

So plan will be travel tuesday AM 1st July 2014, overnight Tue PM, then Wed PM, arriving Vasteras for the meet Thursday AM about mid morning.

Overnight Thurs, Fri, Sat heading off Sunday morning some time for the return trip on the 6th.
Plan to arrive back in the UK on the Monday PM all going well.

Mods please sticky smile

Will probably look to book accommodation next month or so, just a deposit at this stage. We now know where to stay for optimal traffic movement.

Yeah old cars fit in better. But there are cars from all ages.
That being said, we flew past many of the older marque's toddling along at 40mph.
Maybe a pro touring make over with an overdrive trans?

I think it might be worth staying at the show on Sunday aswell and aim for Tuesday in the UK and not Monday.

There was a lot we didn't see
The show closes Sat mate. But staying Sat PM which we did not do last time is a deffo.

Yes, Im going to book in Aug, because it only allows 1 year ahead.

There was 3 rooms with multi beds, but you can also drop a air matress in the kitchen and lounge, then you would have 5 rooms.
At a push someone adventurous could do the same in the laundry. I think Ill expropriate Gurmeet's room for next year.

Gareth also said he might pitch a tent or sleep on the tray of his ute. Lots of options. There is a large lawn.
The rental is rated for 6 occupants and the owner is next door. So thats probably close to max. There are 2 toilets, but only 1 shower.

There are loads of chairs and wifi, though its very weak and feeble. Better than nothing though. Freezer and fridge for beers etc.

The holdens got plenty of attention. My camaro faded into the background. Even through I cleaned it wink

The only cars that stood out where a few of the concours ones as well as the rat junk.

Ill probably take the vxr8 next year. The gearing suits the autobahn better. You want something that cruises 100mph+ to keep up with Gareth.

Sounds like prime muscle car era.
Pro touring stuff looks good. Plenty of t56 conversions for them.

Nice big block camaro or chevelle, or impala even depending on the space you have.
Loads of nice impala's at the show.

Ok I booked same place again, though looks like upstairs this time. They say the limit is 3 Im not sure on the situation as it looks a tad different.
You can cancel right up to the date pretty much.
It might be sensible to book another place as well if we have a good sized crew going.

Check this place out http://www.booking.com/hotel/se/elevgra-nd-1.en-gb...

Same distance from the show, but in another direction. We may need to split the convoy up. Id recommend booking asap. This is/was available today and similar config/spec to what we had. Sleeps 5, £300 for Wed-Sun 2-6th July.

So Gareth is taking his 457 ute, Gurmeet his 5.7L centri, me, my vxr8 (camaro was lost as background noise last time)

Stick his 454 vx8, who else is coming and what are you bringing? At this rate cruising speed will be 150mph...

There is an excellent pub in Malmo. Gareth and I had a nice "Sherry", which turned out to be a whisky in a sherry barrel.
Excellent pints as well etc.

No worries, we will confirm nearer the time.
We all met up at the rail tunnel around 8am last time at Folkstone.

This time we might try driving through Denmark instead of taking the Ferry. I dont think there will be much difference time-wise and IIRC the E20 in Denmark is called the Marigold trail and supposed to be nice.

Mind you the scenery last time was a bit crap until you get to Sweden.

Yeah you need to book quick, might be all booked out now.

There is plenty of tent space etc and a mental camping ground. I think GSD cased out the spare room at our place.

But if there is some spare floor space its available for use.

Might pay to Jez. I think we have 4 in ours.
You could play it fast and loose and likely find some spare space.
