Thanks Guys,

I had a great time at the Berks/Hamps/Surrey v8 meet,

Arrived and left with a Huge Grin biggrin Thanks 4 the entertaining lift Donk (U Bar Steward) wink

Before I went the choice of what to get was easy; Black 6.0 Monaro VXR cool

By the time I'd got there I wasn't sure confused but, now I kNOW that IF I get one, Standard won't be enough now redface

Definitely Blown the 'Original' Budget and now it's starting to look like with the aid of some Major Man Maths wink that unless it has more than 500 horses at the flywheel it wont have for long...

Just So not fair confused

So Thanks Guys for the warm welcome smile and for Corrupting me further still laugh

Cheers Chewie

Han Solo was full of bull. He might impress the ladies with his jargon, but a parsec is a unit of distance, not time - so if 12 parsecs is the length of the Kessel Run, then it's the same for everybody. teacher

So, likening both cars to Enterprise, then one with Capt. Kirk (and Scotty aka GSD always fiddling with the damned thing), and the other is Jean Luc Picard - with such a trusty 'ship, you can leave a blind bloke in charge of engineering. whistle

Ok so aside from what is obviously a contentious Monaro Vs R8 issue

And the fact that I'm only spending 'Virtual' £s at the mo...

But touch wood give it 2 to 3 Months...smile

Should I Buy a Straight N/A V8 and fit a S/C or Would I do better to wait and find one that has already been proven & had one fitted?

If I'm feeling Brave and fit an Eaton 2300 SC kit myself are there any other 'hidden' costs directly associated with the engine remap etc? confused

If you go for the TVS2300, most have had to have a an uprated fuel pump fitted as well, also factor in an LS7 clutch and better brakes, possibly an air intake and exhaust to maximise your efforts

In my opinion, if you can, wait for a SC one already done, it will work out a lot cheaper than buying one and fitting it later.
Or If I can't, buy a good N/A Enjoy it and Then wait biggrin
