So, having qualified first in Super Cup at York and then battled through to the final (a huge field of four cars), I found myself lining up for the burn-out.

We'd run a gentle tune through the day, so I was only launching with 700hp. The burn-out went well(ish) and I pulled forward to stage. The marshals put a hold on while they checked the staging area surface.

And as I sat there, I became annoyed at the build up of rain on the wind-screen and started wondering which switch operated the wipers....doh!

Sadly, all racing of cars with slicks was abandoned and I was robbed of a chance to win a nice plastic trophy frown

So what is a aggressive tune
Tried launching at 16psi on the old setup, which was good for around 1000bhp and two foot high wheelies smile

And for all you funny guys, I find rolling onto your roof means the water simply drips off the wind screen.

I may run it one day , what time you run on that fine surface ;-)
With just waste gate springs (599 at the wheels) for the entire run I managed a 9.7.

Best run on low boost was 9.1 at 159. I was winning on low boost, so didn't want to upset things. We were going to up the boost once I'd won Super Cup. Ho hum.

Most interesting run was when I packed the chute for the first time. It failed to deploy, as the release cord snagged on the cable sheath. The end of the runway is very rough.

Not as bad as a guy I know whose throttle blade snapped in half at the Pod the other day. 1500hp versus brakes and a chute meant he ended up in the farmer's field yikes

I wasn't taking the p!ss! Once you start rolling forward, the raindrops roll up the windscreen (because of the air pressure on them), and across your roof!

Try it on your road car.
I know wink

Cut a potato in half an rub the 'juice' on the screen. Has the same effect...
