Hi chaps,
I am either being paranoid or I can feel some strange vibrations transferred through the car body occasionally when under acceleration. It comes in 4th sometimes in 3rd. Dip the clutch and it goes? Sometimes when decelerating. Very intermittent. Also, transition from 2nd to 3rd at higher than usual revs is difficult sometimes. Feels like the synchro not quick enough. Similar 3rd to 4th, needs some time or force to knock it in sometimes. Again, very intermittent and at higher revs.

Fitted LS7 clutch and a remote bleed. May it be that I didn't bleed it properly?

I wondered if it might have been the engine mounts, but checked prior to fitting and it all seemed fine, no signs of wear. As in stiff and not damaged. I still feel I might have shot the gearbox during the engine self-destruction-procedure.

At the same time, whilst trying to eliminate possible causes, would prop shaft become a cause of vibrations? Or is it more gearbox internally? Not gonna deny, it has seen some action, although I always changed the oil with every service.

I am running it in. I am not flooring it, just gentle feathering of the pedal. I am talking about changes at 3k revs. Again, little to no throttle input.

The clutch was aligned prior to installation of the gearbox. The engine comes with a spigot bearing.

Didn't mark the prop. Would putting it back to it's original position (via trial and error - there are only two other "settings" possible) not bring it back to how it should be? In case it is that?

As a matter of update, the 3rd and 4th changeover been cured by bleeding of the clutch again. I suspect the metal reservoir that some of us had bough via a group buy is a bad design that might have contributed as it is completely hermetical once done up. Am I right in thinking the standard plastic reservoir has got some sort of "blow off" seal in its cap?

As for the vibrations, 99% it is the prop. I will try to turn it in relation to gearbox by one bolt and then again. This way I am bound to meet its original position, right?

On the dowside, my brand new Oil pressure sensor has given ghost today! Anyone reckon I would get a replacement under warranty? I bought it as a standalone part.

Some tt scuffed my rear corner and drove off. I don't even know when and which car. Happened at a petrol station. Going there tomorrow morning to look at CCTV. If I catch him / her on the footage, am I in a position to request their details from DVLA? Or should I report hit and run to my insurance?

Thanks

Yes, I was upgrading from LS2/3 clutch so installed a complete new kit with flywheel bolts.
