This really applies to all of the engines to be honest but I've been looking at cold air feeds for the Monaro and there appear to be the "typical" K&N solutions available which take the feed from the same place the airbox does but in Australia I noticed these rather aggressive looking over radiator intakes that take the air directly from the front.

In terms of performance it would seem logical to assume the straight from the front options with the way to go I was curious if anyone had looked into this or tried it themselves. Naturally the solutions for the straight from the front are more expensive than the cone filters.

Wow that's one meaty looking engine there, are you using coil brackets (MSD) too? I saw them online but wasn't sure what the benefit of those was either.

I was thinking of modding the K&N into something similar...I'm just wondering whether I'd mod it so hard I might as well start from scratch. I'm leaning toward the 6.0 version for the larger pipe diameter and ability to locate the IAT sensor where I like, but would have to extend the pipe to bridge the MAF.

I noticed my foglights are a little manky around the edges. Tempted to mod the lower grille now...
I can't see the image. frown
